Procedure
1. Add 2 ml of hydrogen peroxide to 5 test tubes
2. Tube 1; add 10 drops of HCL
3. Tube 2; add 3 drops of HCL
4. Tube 3; add 3 drops of water
5. Tube 4; add 3 drops of NaOH
6. Tube 5; add 10 drops of NaOH
7. Check each tubes pH level

Predictions
Before inserting liver to each test tube we made predictions. We had some differences in opinion but in the long run we all felt somewhere around the same way. Our beliefs were that the test tubes with acid were going to have high reaction rates. We felt that the bases would not react very much once it was exposed to the beef liver. We thought he water was gunna react slightly but not much more than we expected the bases to. The numbers we expected the reactions to be were . . .

Reaction Time & Rates
Our predictions for the reaction rates were completely off, we didn't expect the results we recieved. To our surprise the test tubes that contained acid had a very weak reaction. The bases on the other hand reacted strongly and fast ! The water also reacted in the same manner as the bases did. Our results were the exact opposite of what we expected. Also the amount of time that the test tubes were reacting for shocked us.

The conclusion we came up with was that the more catalase something has the more it reacts and the faster it reacts.
